Outer is designed with privacy in mind. This page explains what data Outer does and does not collect.

Your images stay on your Mac

Outer processes every image locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. The app does not read, copy, or transmit your files to us or to any third party.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Outer does not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, or usage analytics. There is no account system and no login.

Purchases

If you purchase Outer or an in-app upgrade, the transaction is handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. Apple processes payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your payment information.

Purchase status may also be verified through RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier and the receipt Apple issues for your purchase. This lets Outer know whether your license is active. It does not include your name, email, or any personal information.

Analytics and tracking

Outer does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. No crash or usage data is sent.

Children

Outer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new revision date.
